OCCUPIED.

With a mission to connect and not to infect, "OCCUPIED", is a collaborative traveling art show held in a bathroom. Bringing the art gallery to the artist, this show is held in the most universal and most private room in the house, each artist has the opportunity to display these works within their own bathroom, as well as host their own receptions. The first virtual reception for "OCCUPIED", kicked off May 30th at 8:30pm on @swolebooty instagram livestream. Stay tuned to follow the show and see the next installation site.

Proximity

Proximity is a collaborative interactive and immersive video experience created by Sa-Rai Robinette and Vannah H. It explores the new ways in which we choose to connect to others and ourselves in this digital age. Frequently people are going online to seek out simulated interactions. Someone to comfort them, eat with, or just to relax with.

Carry-on: Transitory Times

Carry-on: Transitory Times is a show about the things that we carry with us as we move forward. Moving in and out of periods of transition, what do we keep and what do we leave behind? We are in a constant state of packing and unpacking and that road is riddled with choices. We don’t reject or abandon the things that make us who we are, but neither do we let them weigh us down and hold us back. We embrace states of change and accept the things we schlep along the way.

Carry-on showcases work by visiting artist Celine Medford and local artists Bryan Pennington, Lilly Dyer, Sa-rai Robinette, Tatiana Castro, and Vannah H. Following the exact dimensions and weight restrictions provided by Amtrak, each artist created work about figurative and literal travel.

Business Casual

Business Casual is a collective effort to liven up the common work space of computer lab 412. We spend so much of our time in these barren communal spaces. The spaces we work in should reflect our goals and the collective creativity that surrounds us—particularly in a building dedicated to the arts. In an attempt to liven up the space and simultaneously bring attention to the work of our peers, the Print Club has collaborated to display various prints of their own creation. Business Casual not only highlights the work of students, but also fosters a fun and lively environment for this space we all share. Hopefully it will inspire those who use this space in their creative endeavors.
